Teaching & Engagement

Bringing bibliotherapy into academic, professional, workplace and community conversations through accessible, research-informed learning experiences.

Universities, colleges, schools, libraries, counselling departments, workplaces, professional organisations, community groups and conference organisers are all welcome to invite me to introduce bibliotherapy, explore its relevance and facilitate meaningful conversations about literature, reflection and wellbeing.

Guest & public lectures

Introductory and specialised lectures for universities, colleges, libraries and professional departments, as well as open public talks that bring bibliotherapy to wider audiences.

Seminars

Focused, discussion-led sessions that create space for participants to examine bibliotherapy concepts, ethical considerations, emerging research and opportunities for local application.

Workshops

Interactive, carefully structured learning experiences combining selected literature, guided reflection and collaborative discussion. Workshops can be designed for students, educators, librarians, counsellors and other professional groups.

Wellbeing awareness sessions

Educational sessions exploring how literature may contribute to reflection, emotional awareness and conversations about wellbeing. These sessions can be adapted for universities, libraries, schools, workplaces and community organisations.

Conference talks

Research presentations, keynote contributions, panel discussions and session chairing on bibliotherapy, literature, libraries, counselling and wellbeing, with particular attention to Zambia and other developing contexts.
